When the people in the Kashmir valley are shut off from the world, the Counting Days Campaign is our way of making sure that the state of Kashmir remains in public consciousness. On Twitter, WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram, we upload these daily posters and accompanying text, like our lives depend on them. Because since 5 August, 2019, Kashmir has been unconstitutionally locked down, the fundamental rights of her people stripped by state brutality. The Counting Days Campaign tries to be a medium to create more attention, passion and solidarity among concerned citizens of the world towards the people of Jammu & Kashmir.

Counting Days - Kashmir is a campaign facilitated by Pakistan India Peoples' Forum for Peace and Democracy (PIPFPD) which is a membership based forum with citizens from both, India and Pakistan.

Since 1994, PIPFPD has been working actively to build peace between the countries. PIPFPD believes that Jammu & Kashmir is not a bilateral land dispute between India and Pakistan, and that the aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir must decide their political future.
