fellowships | genderalities

reFrame's artistic fellowship programme, genderalities was initiated to support, mentor and produce art that confronts difficult questions relating to the gendered lives of women, queer and trans* folks today. Since 2020, 35 diverse individuals and collectives of artists have been awarded the genderalities fellowship across 4 cycles. The resulting works reflect the artists' unique caste, class, gender, sexuality, dis/ability, ethnic and religious locations, and express themselves in varied artistic modes and mediums: documentary and fiction films, podcasts, photoexhibits, mixed media works, music videos, essays, novels, an illustrated journal as well as digital and theatrical performances.
